team has over ten
years of experience in both the fields of design and construction. Our varying backgrounds bring a distinctive breadth of skills to our work.
The final Artspa is
created by means of a meticulously detailed progression, starting as always with the realisation of the client’s ideas through sketches and 3D models. These designs are refined to your aesthetics: material preferences, color choices, textures, etc. before marrying in any funtional requirements: structuring, erganomics, heating, audio, visual and lighting. If required, landscaping suggestions are also drawn up. Only once the designs are finalized, does an Artspa commence construction.
Delve into the mind of the team of
and get a sense of how we design, how we work
and what it would be like to own one of our pieces.
From the pieces developed, our influences, thus far, stem from the connection between man and “the world of nature”: from the tirelessly intricate tile-work of Gaudi to the fluidly graphic forms in the woodblock prints of Katsushika Hokusai and his “pictures of the floating world”; from the uneven, organic exterior walls of ancient, Spanish cortijos that unconsciously echo the rugged landscapes of our surrounding Sierra Tejadas; to the immeasurable surface continuation of Anish Kapoor’s “The Cloud Gate”.
We draw inspiration from a sample of fabric, a bend in a piece of driftwood, a child’s storybook, the spiral of a shell. But most of all, we are influenced by the imaginations and desires of our customers.
team are proud to offer either total, or partial landscaping to further enhance your spa’s surroundings. Below are various examples which include: flooring, seating, sunshades, eating areas, games areas and garden designs.
A design consultation with Artspa couldn’t be easier. A meeting between yourselves and the designers is organized however best suits you.
Discussions will include:
i. the style of the spa / pool – its look, size, positioning, materials, finish
ii. its fundamental use – family, social, therapeutic, romantic
iii. any specific extras desired – lighting, sound, LCD, etc.
iv. a timeline and deadline
If you wish to be more hands-on with the design process then collect images, fabrics, colour swatches, pieces of tiling, things that excite you visually which could be incorporated into the final piece. The consultation will take roughly an hour. The design team will then draft some ideas for your consideration, as well as an estimated costing. Up until this point, the consultation is free and all designs remain the property of Artspa.
